Experience with Koreans

I led a tour guide last Saturday with a group of Koreans. I am not much in the mood of updating but I want to share my experience.

1) Learn other languages.
When ure with tourists, and happens to know their language, they will feel proud. And they try to appreciate you by using your language which in my case is Malay. I said "Ayinoseyo" meaning how are you to them, and they answer it with a big smile. Though actually I'm not sure whether my pronunciation was right or not. And this one man said "sama-sama" when he supposed to say "terima kasih". Funny but cute!

2) Be patient
When you communicate with someone who is not that good in the language you used to speak at that time, just be patient. I asked the Koreans twice, "which part of Korea do you live?". And he innocently and enthusiastically answered "we are principals from schools" and "we came here yesterday and be back on 6th July".

3) Be Flexible
I often tried to pay attention to my tenses and grammatical errors. In real life, that does not matter much especially when you are communicating. So, be flexible when you communicate. Simplify things and be free to use tools to help others understand you.

Whatever it is, I think the Koreans that I met are cute because I love to see they went excited when taking photos. Though they weren't as good looking as the man in the picture, I still enjoy having this experience.
